3 Methods and Steps
3.1 Preparations
3.1.1 Rinse the stability test tube with solvent (gasoline available), lotion and clean water respectively and put it in the oven at 105±5℃ to dry. after cooling, plug the outlet of the upper and lower branch pipes with plugs.
3.1.2 Filter about 300ml of uniform emulsified asphalt sample into the sample container through a 1.18mm filter.
3.2 Test Procedure
3.2.1 Mix the filtered emulsion sample with a glass rod and slowly inject it into the stability test tube until the liquid level reaches the 250ml mark on the tube wall. When injecting, attention should be paid to the branch pipe without bubbles. Then, plug the mouth of the pipe with a plug.
3.2.2 Put the closed stability test tube in the test tube holder and let it stand at room temperature for 5 days and nights. during the standing process, always observe whether the emulsion has delamination, precipitation or discoloration, and record and record the changes in room temperature (maximum and minimum temperature) within 5 days. When the emulsion produced is used up within 5 days, the sample stored for stability test can also be left for one day and night (24h).

4 calculation
the storage stability of emulsified asphalt was calculated as follows, and its absolute value was taken as follows:

5 report
5.1 the same sample was tested in parallel for at least two times, and when the difference between the two measurements met the precision requirements of repeatability test, the average value was taken as the test result and expressed as an integer.
5.2 the test report shall indicate the temperature range and storage time of emulsion storage.
6. Precision or tolerance difference
the allowable difference of repeatability test was 0.5%. the allowable difference for the reproducibility test was 0.6%.
