Specifications
Methyl tin mercaptide is one of the three kinds of Organotin(methyl tin, butyl tin, and Octyl Tin). It is a transparent, clear, and viscous liquid with good compatibility with PVC(polyvinyl chloride ). It is a key stabilizer in the PVC heating process with very good pre-stability and post-stability, product transparency, high compatibility with other additives and raw materials, and excellent weatherability than other metal heat stabilizers.
It is compatible with weak polar oils such as C8-C12 fatty alcohol, C8-C12 fatty acid, phosphite fatty alcohol ester, and oil. It is non-flammable and has a low freezing point, it is a viscous liquid even at-20 ℃.
Methyl tin mercaptide is the most potential organotin product in the field of PVC extrusion, calendering, blow molding and injection molding because of its simple process and low cost.

QUALITY STANDARD of METHYL TIN MERCAPTIDE
1. Excellent Heat Stabilizer Properties
at present, no other type of PVC stabilizer can surpass it in thermal stability, it has Excellent high-temperature color stabilizer and Long-term dynamic stability. Therefore, it is the preferred PVC stabilizer for rigid PVC and is suitable for all homopolymers such as emulsions, suspensions and bulk PVC as well as polyvinyl chloride, graft polymers and copolymers.
2. Excellent transparency
Organotin PVC stabilizer has excellent transparency. Adopting the formula of Organotin, especially Methyl Tin Mercaptan Heat stabilizer, the product can be crystallized without albinism. For this reason, can be used for bottles, containers, bellows, various types of hard packaging containers, hoses, profiles, films and so on.
3. the product is non-toxic
Methyl Tin Mercaptan is a non-toxic and green stabilizer. Methyl Tin Mercaptan migrates very little in PVC. Methyl Tin PVC stabilizer has been approved by the German federal health agency, the US Food and Drug Administration, the UK's BPF and Japan's JHPA. so in the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries Mercaptan Methyl Tin is allowed for food and medical packaging PVC products and water pipes.
4. Good Compatibility
Mercaptan Methyl Tin PVC stabilizer and PVC compatibility is good, in PVC complex is easy to disperse, its processing products in the long-term use will not precipitate. this will not affect the surface properties and electrical properties of the products. the compatibility of methyl tin with PVC is better than butyl tin and Octyl Tin.
5. Better Liquidity
Methyl Tin Mercaptan can improve the melt action of PVC and make PVC have good fluidity in processing. Its plasticizing effect on Resin is lower than that of mixed metal or lead salt stabilizer, methyltin is the best heat stabilizer for rigid PVC mixtures.
6. Good Resistance to Scaling
the use of Methyl Tin Mercaptan will not scale phenomenon, can reduce the number of clear equipment, improve production efficiency, reduce production costs and increase profits
Why do we use Methyl Tin Mercaptide in the PVC industry?Methyl Tin Mercaptide Heat Stabilizer (called 181 for short) is currently the plastic heat stabilizer with the most excellent performance, which is very effective for the rolling, extrusion, and injection molding of hard PVC. Due to its high safety, it is especially applicable to food packing and hard PVC products (such as transparent fake materials, plate materials and heat contracting membranes). Moreover, it has been widely applied to plastic doors and windows, water pipes, and decorating materials, so as to replace other plastic heat stabilizers that have high toxicity. Therefore it has been widely used in the USA, Europe, and South Asia. Over recent years, 181 has been applied in a large quantity. Because 181's stability is much better than other organic tin stabilizers, the relevant products have better performance. So it has been widely welcomed by many large-scale PVC-processing enterprises, becoming the key adjutant in the processing of hard PVC.Toxicology Oral LD50 rat (Acute): 1.145 -1.840 mg/kg Advantages[High Heat Stability]
According to the appraisal of the international authoritative organs, 181 Methyl Tin Mercaptide has the highest heat stability and best early-phase coloring among the organic tin heat stabilizers.
the advantage compared with other PVC stabilizersSmall Dosage: at the same effect, 181 Methyl Tin Mercaptide enjoys a small dosage, 15-20% less than butyl tin, and octyl tin, with generally 0.8-1.5 shares.
Reliable Safety: Authorized by FDA for application as food packing materials with the maximal dosage of 2%.
Excellent Performance: PVC products using 181 Methyl Tin Mercaptide Heat Stabilizer enjoy high transparency and clean color shade.
