It can withstand scratches, tears, water and fire. It is also easy to clean and maintain. Stingray leather starts by sending the top skin of the fish to a tannery for production, where the leather is cleaned and placed into a drum for the first part of tanning. Stingray leather is chromium-based leather that often softens as the hide is processed.
