The factory, which is the first one in China to manufacture safety tools according to Japanese JIS standard, was established in 1983 and situated in southeast of Hebei Province. In 1993, China National Testing Center of Spark-resistant Safety Products made a general test on the factory products concerning striking, hammer-drop testing and other technical analysis, all the products passed the safety test in accordance with national standard GB10686-89. The factory was issued the first national Quality Certificate for spark-resistant safety tools. In 1994, the factory was honored by the Bureau of Light Industry of Hebei Province "Key Products to be developed", "Provincial Superior Products", "Provincial Advanced Technology Products", and "Provincial Famous Brand". In 1995, the factory won the International Gold Award in China International Metallurgical and Casting Products Exhibition and the same award in China Second International Trade Fair of New Technology and Famous Products. In 1997,the Ministry of National Oil and Chemical and the Ministry of Labor jointly issued a Certificate of Quality Products. Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Dongress Mr. Wang Guangying and Deputy Chairman of CPPCC Mr. Cheng Siyuan both inscribed "famous and superior products, benefit country and its people". Now Botou Non-Sparking Safety Tools are manufactured in accordance with ISO9002 Certificate of Registration and UKAS Certificate of conformity of Product. The factory manufactures high quality safety tools and ensures that every single product meets the international standards.
