Introduction The ST Glucose Meter is a small blood glucose testing device designed for the self-monitoring of blood glucose by diabetics and also for professional use. The system should be operated at the temperature of 5°C~40°C, and at the relative humidity ≤80%. Principle The system is based on the principle of biosensor. The blood glucose is drawn into the test strip reaction area through membrane capillary action. Glucose in the sample reacts with glucose oxidase and potassium ferrioyanide in the strip, producing potassium ferrocyanide. Potassium ferrocyanide is produced in proportion to the glucose concentration of the blood sample. Oxidation of the potassium ferrocyanide produces an electrical current, which is then converted by the meter to display, the glucose concentration.
