Description: Peaches are washed, peeled, pitted, cut, sliced, and blanched to assure a clean, wholesome product. The peaches are blanched and prepared and frozen in accordance with good manufacturing practices, coated with an ascorbic acid and citric acid solution to promote color retention and conforms to U. S. Grade "A" as defined in U.S. standards for grades of frozen peaches effective July 3, 1961 with the following modifications: Specifications: COLOR: Frozen peaches possess a bright color, reasonably uniform, reasonably well-ripened to well ripened peaches. Not more than 10% by weight, of the drained thawed peaches may possess a slight tinge of green or slight tinge of brown color due to oxidation. No units may possess a pronounced green or brown color.
