Also available in galvanized Loop Bottom (Open): This bottom type will conform to any depth of root ball as the basket can be pulled up on the ball to make a snug fit. The bottom loops should be tied off with twine or strapping. Bottom Form (Closed): Bottom loops are bent inwards and welded together. This basket style requires the bottom of the root ball to be shaved off in order to achieve the perfect fit. This allows the tree to set flat on the ground surface and offers greater protection to the root ball.
