It imparts a soft, fluffy handle to cottons, woollens and synthetic fabrics after each application. It achieves this via its fabric lubricating properties which reduces wear on the fabric, increases the efficiency of hydro-extraction, therefore reducing drying time, providing wrinkle-free fabrics with minimum static build-up after finishing. The perfume incorporated in the product produces a fresh, pleasant odour to finished garments. It can also be used on flat work effectively to reduce the labour in breaking up ‘cheeses’ after hydro-extraction. Being cationic in nature, it has some bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties and can therefore be used to advantage on tea towels, table linen, etc., to inhibit re-growth of mildew, etc. Addition of a small quantity to starch stock solutions will keep the liquor ‘sweet’ and aid penetration of starch into the fabric during use.
