nodular iron consists mainly of pearlite, nodular graphite and carbide. Nodular graphites distribute increasingly from the barrel surface to the core, and there is no definite dividing line. The strength of material can be obviously increased after the spheroidizing treatment. The nodular cast iron rolls can be used at all stands from rough to finish rolling for shape steel mills and rough stands of bar and rod mills.
