Lithopone is a white pigment composed of a mixture of barium sulfate (28 - 30%) and zinc sulfide (68 - 70%) with trace amounts of zinc oxide. It is produced by precipitation through filtering, heating and quenching works. It has a high whiteness, high color-eliminating ability and high covering ability, being widely used in the production of paint, printing ink, rubber, plastics, and building materials and so on. We have developed several series of lithopones as below:
Lithopone B301 (General type, the minimum content of ZnS is 28%)
Lithopone B311 (the cotent of ZnS is over 30%, used for middle-rank and top-rank paint)
Lithopone B302 (low content of ZnO, good decentralization, special for oil paint)
Lithopone B322 (surface enveloped, 400 mesh, special for latex paint)
