This type of refractory (DC-N) has the advantageous features of both silicon carbide and silicon nitride. Since DC-N has excellent strength at a high temperature, it is possible to use refractory products which are smaller in thickness. DC-N permits improviding both furnace packing efficiency and thermal efficiency.
