Nanocrystalline Alloy Engineering Research Centre ( hereinafter referred to as the National Amorphous Centre) has been undertaking the research and development of amorphous materials since 1970'. It fulfilled the tasks of key projects of science and technology for the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Five-year Plans assigned by the State Commission of Science and Technology, and won 59 achievements, 2 National Innovation Prize, 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress, 24 national patents and 1 American patent. The automatic amorphous ribbon winding technology and equipment developed by the center was awarded as one of the ten National Science and Technology Achievements.
