Shell large to very large, thick, heavy and readily recognized by the deep yellow ventral surface. Spire extremely flat, sutures coronate. Sculpture consisting of approximately three rows of knobs on the body whorl and numerous spiral ribs crossed by axial ridges. Aperture narrow and elongate, outer lip thick broad and strongly denate. Parietal shield expansive strongly calloused ang lirate, columella plaited. Siphonal canal curved dorsally, umbilicus open. Shell of the males has fewer and longer knobs on the shoulder. Color cream-white at dorsum, deep orange at the aperture. The animal is yellow with a large foot, operculum thick very small and does not fit the aperture. This species is highly appreciated by tourists. Distribution: Nha Trang, Quang Ngai, Phan Rang, Phan Ri, Phan Thiet, Phu Quoc Island, etc. Size:5-39cm
