The current production rate of bio-based plastics plastics made from biologically based resources has been stimulated by mounting environmental concerns over global petroleum use, climate change and European and Japanese legislative incentives (ICIS 2006a). PLA will degrade into carbon dioxide, water, and humus when composted in an industrial composting system. Its a perfect substitute of petrolic products.
