Shenyang North Traffic Heavy Industry Group has become a large group enterprise specializing in four major industries, Coal Mining Machinery, Road Maintenance Machinery, Engineering and Construction Machinery, as well as Engineering Vehicle Manufacturing during 30 years' rapid development. The headquarter is located in Shenyang Economy and Technology Development zone which is honored by the State Department as "Two-Demonstration Park" of national equipment manufacturing industry. The group's first industrial section with 430,000m² has been completed and moved into, the second section with 510,000m² is under construction which is the largest modified and manufacturing base of Engineering Machinery and Special Vehicles in Northeast region.

Nowadays, North Traffic has been the national innovation pioneer and hi-tech enterprise, undertaken the major scientific and technological project of national 863 Plan. North Traffic has received support from National Development and Reform Commission in terms of government bonds and become the supporting institution of Ministry of Science as to the State "second five" major scientific and technological project.
