Kunming Duobao Cable Co., Ltd. (formerly Duobao Cable Factory) established in 1998 and located at Wangjiaying, Luoyang Town, Jingkai District, Kunming, has an area of 102 mu, a total investment of RMB 150 million and a production value of about RMB 1.3 billion. It was incorporated in 2005 and is located at No. 24, Guanling Road, Guanshang Town, Kunming. Currently, the company has over 800 employees including more than 50 engineers and technicians, and skilled production workers accounting for more than 90%. The company now has more than 300 sets of production equipment of wire and cable of various types, takes the lead in production capacity and testing capacity among provincial peers, can produce all kinds of high, medium and low voltage power cables and cotton covered wires, including fire-resistant, inflaming-retarding, mining and control cables and special cables as well. Our products have been widely used in electricity, energy, transportation, construction, etc., and even in Yunnan power grid, power plants, real estate development, mining, airports, railways and metallurgy, iron and steel as designated products.

Modern equipment guarantees high-quality products. To enhance product quality, the company has established and improved quality testing and quality assurance system, introduced Finland's automatic Nokia Mailafeier touch screen device (35kV XLPE cable production unit), including 630 high-end frame-type stranders, 3150 windlass line stranders, fork stranders, cage stranding cable and high-speed wire drawing machines, and configured advanced equipment and instruments such as the partial discharge test system of 35KV and lower XLPE cables, series resonance and pressure test system of SRS, high-voltage test equipment and IMAJE high-precision inkjet printers. The introduction of advanced equipment and instruments injects new vitality to the development of the company and helps the team to win more customers.

In 2008, the company invested RMB 200 million to build the second plant with an area of 96 mu. The new production area is located in Kunming High-tech Industrial Park, known as “New East City of Kunming” and is to mainly produce high-voltage 110kV XLPE cables.
